Location
Graz is a most lovely place (particularly in May) and close to numerous other
exciting locations. Just to mention a few, Vienna, Salzburg, the Neusiedler See - Seewinkel, Gesäuse, and Hohe Tauern National Parks - and certainly destinations like in Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
The 15th IAA Humans in Space Symposium will be held at the Grazer Congress.
Uniquely locatedin the historic city centre,
Grazer Congress has created a blend of tradition and modernity that is an
ideal backdrop for creative communication.
Top-class hotels, restaurants
and shops are in walking distance. Grazer Congress is an architectural
jewel set in the heart of Graz’ vibrant old town.
This historic complex,
boasting three magnificent festival halls, has always been devoted to “the
arts and sciences”. Transformation into a modern, international convention
centre has put this heritage into a contemporary context.
As the Grazer Congress is located
in the very heart of Graz’ Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) conference
guests can easily experience the inspiring atmosphere of the city and its
rich cultural life. Graz’ most prestigious hotels are only a few minutes’
walk away. Graz International Airport is only 12 kilometres from the Grazer Congress.
Grazer Congress has 19 function
rooms accommodating between 20 and 1,100 people. The maximum conference capacity
is 1,500. All halls are linked by foyers on a single level, thereby permitting
ideal combinations of meeting and exhibition facilities on a gross total
of 2,900
square metres, which can also be used for banquets and balls (max. 2,400
persons). The building also contains a radio studio and press centre, as
well as a casino and the Gallerie CC - a leading gallery that specializes
in modern art. The in-house caterer of the Grazer Congress offers a marvellous
variety of both local Styrian and international culinary delights.
